Design

Both the dress and bonnet have a beautiful Irish lace pattern and bobble edgings. For the dress, the front, back left side, right side and sleeves are knitted separately on straight needles up to the yoke and then the stitches are slipped onto the same needle and knitted as one piece from the yoke onwards. Stitches are picked up for the back button bands.

Yarn

Double knitting wool required (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).

The picture shows the outfit knitted using 2 x 100 gram balls of Stylecraft Special DK in shade Pale Rose (1080).
