I bought the 8mm and 12mm, I have only used the 12mm so far. Within around 15 minutes of using the 12mm hook, the hook head separated and came out of the handle. Even before breaking there is not a lot of space on the hook before the handle for yarn seeing as I was using super chunky yarn, it would make going anything other that single crochet difficult as there is little space for the hoops on the hook. I ended up buying a cheaper plastic hook that did the job better.
