Coambulo (Latin for “walk together”)
The CoAmbulo Socks are toe-up, knee-high socks crocheted in the round, with stretchy elastic cuffs to keep the socks up.
Pattern includes: written instructions; photo tutorials/links to videos for special techniques/stitches; mosaic crochet charts and appendix materials on how to do inset mosaic crochet.
Size inclusive pattern tested by large group of testers with different foot/leg shapes and sizes: written in 5 foot width sizes [7-12” (18-30 cm) circ]; 7 ankle sizes [7-12” (18-30 cm) circ]; 9 calf sizes [12-22”(30-55 cm) circ]; with additional customization for foot/leg length.
Pattern is written for 2 colors (main color and contrasting color) of fingering weight yarn. Select highly contrasting colors to best showcase the mosaic crochet pattern. Sample shown uses white as main color and multiple colors for contrasting color. A wool/nylon blend or other sock yarn with good stretch and elasticity recommended.
