This blanket holds a very special place in my heart. The beautiful whippet featured in the design is Freya—my beloved first whippet, who I heartbreakingly lost far too soon at just nine years old. Creating this piece has given me a way to keep her close, and now I can still cozy up with her on the couch.
Written in US English terms and assumes knowledge of the basic crochet stitches (slip stitch, chain, single crochet, double crochet). The pattern itself is provided in both written and chart format and includes pictorial tutorials for the overlay mosaic technique as well as the envelope border.

Yarn: Any (the first pictured example is made with Hobbii Daily Stitich Acrylic XL Ecru (10 skeins - 1750 m / 1913 yards) and Grey-Brown (7 skeins - 1225 m / 1340 yards) on a 5 mm hook with 2 skeins of pink for the border (4.5 mm hook)
Final piece is 172 cm x 132 cm / 68 in x 52 in - 199 stiches x 249 rows
