We Belong Together

True confession time: I LOVE Pat Benatar. Like, absolutely adore her music. My girls and I listen to her a lot currently, and, when I was in middle school, my sister and a friend spent hours listening and re-listening to a tape of We Belong on our little tape player-recorder with the sole purpose of writing down all of the lyrics. I’m pretty sure we had taped the song directly off of the radio, too, if that gives you any indication of my age and our general technological situation. When I saw these two colors together, that song popped in my head, because the colors so perfectly belong together. “They belong to the light, they belong to the thunder…”
