The Vista cowl is worked in the round and doubled. The front is worked with both stranded color work and a diamond pattern with eyelets. The back lining is Stockinette stitch. Although the diamond pattern looks like a cable pattern, there is only one cable twist at the center. The diagonal lines are mainly worked in increases and decreases.
The doubled fabric blocks the wind, and the color lining gives the fabric extra color and texture. The Blue & White version of the cowl reminds me of porcelain; the Yellow & Gray version with hand dyed yarn looks warm—like hand-made pottery.
