Décolletage is the neck and chest area of a lady, revealed by the low neckline of her dress (her cleavage if you will). In early Victorian times, it was proper to keep this covered up and wear dresses with high, floofy necklines. This cowl will help bring those days back, but only to fight off the cold of course. Knit top down, the back half of the stitches will be cast off while continually decreasing on the front half to create the triangle shape that will fit perfectly into your coat.
