Very Kind Heart Cowl

This cosy cowl is worked in two colour stranded colourwork, using the beautiful “Traditions” Donegal Aran Tweed from Folklore Yarns. The pattern has written instructions, with charts for the colourwork.

It is worked from the bottom of the cowl to the top using a short circular needle, but can be adapted to knit the travelling or magic loop method.

Finished Measurements:

circumference 58cm/23 inches; height 24 cm/9.5 inches

Needles:

5 mm (US 8) 60 cm circular needle

Folklore Yarns “Traditions” - Donegal Yarns Aran Tweed

Main Colour (MC) 80g (140 yards/128 metres) Ballybofey

Contrast Colour (CC) 50g (88 yards/80 metres) Raphoe (red) or Dunglow (green)

Gauge:

18 sts x 22 rows per 4 inches using 5 mm (US 8) needle in colourwork. (Although gauge is not essential it will impact the amount of yarn required.)
