Description: The Tricolored Capelet is a light and airy accessory that is great for spring or summertime. The capelet works sideways and uses very soft, ribbon-like cotton yarn, that drapes easily. Three colors are used and they repeat in front and back.
Each color segment starts and ends with short row sections (German short rows are used in the pattern), and a lace stitch pattern is in between. The border works together with the main part and gives the bottom the zig-zagging edge.
Skills:
You need to know how to do knit and purl stitches, yarn over, and simple decreases. Provisional cast on, German short rows, and grafting garter stitch. Video tutorials for the last three are included in the pattern.
Size: Adult Medium
The pattern gives instructions on how to change the size if you need it.
Finished measurements: upper circumference 38” (95 cm), lower circumference 60” (150 cm), length from top to bottom 10” (25 cm)
Gauge: 18 sts and 26 rows = 4” (10 cm) in lace pattern, blocked
