Tinsmith

Tinsmith is a top-down triangular shawl with bands of garter stitch between lace panels evocative of the patterning on tinware.

Worked in a fingering weight Tinsmith is a wonderful wrap of a shawl that can be worn year-round. Try it in a Merino Single for a rustic feel, Linen for a summer shawl and what about SeaSilk or Pure Silk for a luxurious version.

Written for two sizes the smaller shawl is a very good size, the large a fabulously generous shawl.

Size Options: As written – Small Version (shown on Page 7) 56” (142cm) wide, 26” (66.5cm) deep before blocking and 84” (213cm) wide, 31” (79cm) after; Large Version (shown above) 72” (183cm) wide, 34” (86.5cm) deep before blocking and 95” (241cm) wide, 42” (107cm) after.
