Produktdetails

Growing up, one of my favorite holiday traditions was making new ornaments for the family Christmas tree. While I glued my fair share of macaroni to metallic cardboard disks and twisted pipe cleaners into snowflakes, my favorite homemade ornaments were (and still are) the ones fashioned from paper strips. The stitch pattern featured on Tinsel Tree’s front panel reminds me of those simple paper holiday trimmings.

This pattern includes instructions for dress and tunic lengths, as well as an option for long sleeves worked in a lighter weight yarn and made to look like a faux second layer. Tinsel Tree is worked from the top down. A portion of the yoke is worked flat before joining for working in the round. Aside from the kitchener stitch used to complete the tubular bind-off at the upper sleeve cuff and hem, Tinsel Tree is a completely seamless knit.
