Being a wife to a yarnie has lots of benefits. Apart from the constant aboundance of colorful skeins in your surroundings, you get to test new bases and colorways too. It’s so much fun! This is my second collaboration with my husband hiding behind “Martin’s Lab” - this time he prepared lots of DK weight yarns in pretty colors and I got to create something I like most - a cabled hat. I love its name a lot - it reflects the cables on the hat and our lives together so well, meandering around colorful yarn since we tied the knot. Literally ;)
Yarn 1 skein of Martin’s Lab Tibetan DK: 60% merino, 20% yak, 20% silk. 212 m/232 yards per 100 grams. Shown in color “Seashells”.
Gauge 28 sts and 30 rnds in 10 cm/4” in cable pattern worked in the rnd with needle 4.00 mm/US #6. Take time to save time and check your gauge. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
