This cardigan involves no seaming. The construction begins with the yoke and each subsequent piece is picked up directly from the last piece knitted. The sleeves are knit in the round on 2 circular needles. You may choose your favourite method for knitting sleeves, remember if you choose to knit them flat you will need to seam. The length of both the sleeves and the body can easily be modified as they are worked from the top down. For example, the sleeves could be made 3/4 length, and the body could be made very short or very long. An alternate edge finishing is provided if you prefer less curl.
The only special skill this pattern requires is the ability to do a provisional cast on. However, because of the unconventional construction it is recommended for an experienced knitter.
