A selection of ice cream inspired DK mittens in four sizes to suit age range from 3 years to adult. A pair of mittens will take less than 50g (1½ ozs) yarn in total so this would be an ideal pattern for using up your stash. I have shown the actual yarns I used to knit my mittens but most DK yarns will be suitable for the project and you will require only small amounts of each colour. The materials required for each of the five designs are fully explained within the pattern.
Each mitten is suitable for left or right hand so you could make a matching pair or just Pick & Mix your favourites.
Pattern includes instructions for: '99' cone, Hundreds&Thousands lolly, Fruit Twist lolly, Choc ice & Neapolitan tub. The Hundreds&Thousands, Fruit Twist & Choc ice mittens are worked in basic Knit & Purl stitches. The '99' cone design features a 4 row textured pattern and the Neapolitan tub a simple two colour stitch pattern, both explained row by row.
