Squares and Stripes Hot Water Bottle Cover

This is a pattern for a hot water bottle cover to fit a smaller size (1 ltr) hot water bottle. It was originally published in Your Crochet and Knitting magazine. It is worked in a simple slip stitch which would be fine for beginners. The original yarn is a dk kit yarn worked on 3.5mm needles, each ball 22gms. I have suggested an alternative yarn. One of the colours is a multi coloured yarn. The yarn amounts are based on Yarnsmiths Create DK for all six colours. If you would like a multi yarn you could try King Cole Bramble in Hedgerow, Cherish in Sprinkles or Rico Baby Dream in Pastels. Otherwise a solid colour would work well.
