This is a simple and unique blanket, made using the Filet technique of crochet. This pattern is written in UK and US terms. Just download whichever version you prefer. It is such an addictive technique to use as you slowly see the pattern emerging with each finished row.
It uses Aran yarn and a 5.0 mm hook but you can use any to suit your preference but this will alter the size of your blanket. It uses approximately 400g of yarn. 100g for each square panel and 100g for the separating sections and border if made following this pattern. A larger blanket will need more yarn.
The pattern consists of written instructions as well as a chart and a shorthand version of the instructions. There are also instructions on how to amend the size of the blanket too.
