This shawl is a basic shawl, great for beginners, but still fun for experienced knitters. The sample was made in dk, but could easily be made with any weight of yarn. The hood is calculated for both dk and worsted weights of yarn.
It can be knit in multiple colors as pictured, or as a solid color. The hood is optional. Finished size: approximately 70” wide, 25” long, and could be made larger or smaller if desired. The shawl is made with US 5 / 3.75 mm knitting needles if using dk yarn, and US 9 / 5.5 mm knitting needles if using worsted yarn.
