Named for the friend who inspired it, Sonny is a top-down exploration of simple colorwork. The classic diamond pattern is great for any gender, and the horizontally- ribbed brim adds an extra bit of insulation around the ears.
Note: This pattern requires the knitter to work from a chart. You may need to use a differently sized needle for the colorwork portions than the non-colorwork portions, if you find that your gauge changes considerably.
