Soft Breeze Shawl

This dainty shawl gently mixes up various techniques to create an elegant and playful accessory that will keep your neck and shoulders warm when a soft summer breeze is around. The body of the shawl is worked in garter stitch, with a variegated colorway (or not!), and it fades to the second – tonal or solid – colorway that is used to work the border. The lacy border features a pattern that looks like butterflies, and an open-work pattern that grows at every row, to create a frilly edge.

Any laceweight to DK weight yarn can be used for this pattern. Gauge, yardage, and final size will vary. The shawl can also be made with only one color.
