Although I’ve never knit while traveling before, I made an exception on a recent trip to France. I had some of this luxurious yarn—a blend of mohair and silk—that I couldn’t wait to start knitting. The result was this design, which is an easy knit, featuring a panel of Shetland lace diamonds on a garter stitch background. All wrong-side rows are knit, and the Shetland Diamond stitch pattern is easily memorized.
