Shangri-La a paradise somewhere in the Himalaya Mountains, where the time stands still, land of eternal youth.
I do get transported back in time every time I pick up my needles and start new project and this shawl evoked the same feeling. It is knitted in a beautiful Tussah Silk dyed by two talented girls from Dye for Yarn.
Knitted top-down and its circular shape is achieved by an easy short-row technique. The lace pattern of the border resembles droplets of water which are set against simple mesh background. The addition of beads makes it sparkle beautifully in the sun and makes it even more special.
