This side-to-side crocheted shawl was inspired by the song "Scarborough Fair." It was running through my mind as I designed and crocheted it, thinking of "between the salt water and the sea strands", and longing for the salt air of the beach, the crashing of the waves, and the cries of the gulls..
The pattern is written as well as charted, and has an easy-to-memorize repeat of 6 rows. You can choose to stripe it as you wish, or follow my 3-color striping scheme. I used fingering weight yarn, but you could use a thicker weight if you wish, Bring it with you on vacation as an enjoyable project!
