Sawston Cowl & Infinity Scarf

When the temperatures start falling at the end of summer, then it’s time to think about making some cozy accessories. So here’s a pattern with two options, a neckwarmer cowl and a longer infinity scarf. The cowl is perfect for your autumn wardrobe – quick to knit, easy to carry in your pocket or bag and ready for the first icy breezes from the North. The infinity scarf is long enough to wrap round your neck twice for extra warmth, but can also be worn over your head like a hood. Both are easy to knit and are worked in a wonderfully soft Blue-faced Leicester wool yarn.

Yarn:West Yorkshire Spinners Bluefaced Leicester DK, 100% wool, 112m/122 yds: 50gm ball, Colour: #150 Blueberry

Yarn substitution:To use an alternative yarn, please select a soft DK (wool yarn with a recommended gauge of about 22 sts:10 cm/4 ins using 4.0-4.5 mm/US #6 needles.

Techniques:Knitting, purling, provisional cast-on, grafting using Kitchener Stitch or working a 3-needle bind off.
