KNITTING PATTERN Pdf instant download This sweet little knitting pattern is for a tiny premature baby to newborn Santa hat in 5 different sizes, using wonderfully soft 4ply (UK) knitting yarn, with a super soft and cuddly DK snowflake yarn for the brim and pompom. I created it because I wanted to make tiny baby clothes that were practical as well as beautiful for premature babies. The yarn is machine washable acrylic and the fabric is a flat stocking stitch. The hats can be knitted in the round using 3mm double pointed needles or 3mm straight needles (instructions for both included). This design uses 4 ply (UK) yarn which is really soft to the skin as well as machine washable. 3mm dpns or 3mm straight needles are required. It is written using UK terms. Sizes: 1lb - 8lb baby (5 sizes) 6 1/2 inches - 14 inches (5 sizes) It would make a lovely set to donate to your local NICU unit for Christmas.
