Santa & Cyril the Elf

This pattern is for both Santa & Cyril, they are both very similar except Santa makes use of a loop stitch. I have used a horrid slippery eyelash yarn for his beard which looks great but is really fiddly to do! I've included full photographs and instructions for the loop stitch that I've used which isn't too tricky and makes a nice change from the usual single crochet and the eyelash yarn could be substituted for something else white and beardy if you have it to hand.

N.B. I’ve used ‘American’ crochet terminology in this pattern.
