This pattern is going to teach you how to stitch the beautiful Ripple Stitch. This stitch gives a gorgeous texture to fabric and will add some scrubbing power. Gauge isn't extremely important in this pattern. Change hooks until you find one that gives you a fabric you like. For a dishcloth you will probably want a stiffer fabric with less drape, so you would probably be happier with a smaller hook. This pattern only uses about 5 yards of cotton or cotton blend yarn.
