Taking its inspiration from walks through ancient woodlands, it is knitted in the round using worsted-weight yarn.
Difficulty Intermediate – knit, purl, cables, knitting in the round and simple finishing. Yarn Cascade Yarns 220 (100% wool; 220 yds / 201 m / 100g): #2448, 1 skein. Substitute with approximately 220 yds / 201 m of Worsted weight yarn. Yarn amount may vary if using different yarn.
Needles and Notions Size 5 mm (US 8) circular needle, 16 in / 40 cm long, or a set of double pointed needles. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. Markers, cable needle and tapestry needle.
Gauge 18 sts and 22 rnds = 4 in / 10 cm in St stitch using 5 mm (US8) needles - used as a reference only. Each pattern repeat measures 6 in / 15 cm wide, worked using 5 mm (US8) needles.
