Puppy blanket Knitting Pattern - Knit and Purl only

Knit something cute with this very easy Puppy Blanket. The border is worked in garter stitch, while the cheerful dog is also knit in garter stitch against a smooth stockinette background. With only knit and purl stitches — no charts, cables, or colorwork required — this project is wonderfully simple yet creates a striking effect.

The final size of the project will depend on the yarn and needle size you choose. Here are examples for three different yarn weights:

Sport weight (5 ply) with 3.5 mm (US 4) needles:

DK (8 ply) or worsted weight (8 ply) with 3.75 mm - 4 mm (US 5-7) needles:
