This beanie is a lighter weight version of my Print o’ the Wave beanie - originally created in a sport/light DK weight yarn. Shetland lace knitting has recently been named as an endangered craft by the Crafts Council so this was designed for those who wished to try a smaller scale lace project in a traditional craft skill. A little concentration is required on a couple of the rows as the start of round marker moves to allow the lace pattern to stay correct. Please take care to follow the written instructions alongside the charted lace.
