I designed this little cardi and hat specially for tiny premature babies. It is knitted in one piece to the armholes to avoid uncomfortable seams, and the sleeves are wide to make it easier to dress these little ones, and they close at the cuff with a button to create a neat fit. The little hat features a reverse st-st border.
This set is simple and quick to knit but practical too. The yarn used is wonderfully soft and gentle for the baby as well as being hardwearing and machine washable.
This design is perfect for knitting up to donate to neonatal units.
