"PJ" Aran Pattern
I absolutely adored creating this pattern and gained so much satisfaction watching it evolve as I was knitting. This story is a bit different in how this creation came about. A little boy called Calum was born in Donegal in January 2019 with a very rare heart defect. My sister Tracy made me aware and asked would I like to donate some knits for him. As always, the lovely ladies on my Facebook page rallied round and I was able to post a sizeable package to him.
I also wanted to raise some funds so I decided to put an offer of designing, knitting and naming a pattern for the winner of a raffle (essentially the first bespoke pattern creation)
A lovely lady called Margo won and she wished it to be named after her grandson PJ. What made this even more special was I have knitted for PJ from birth and watched him grow, receiving regular updates and pics from Margo. I hope you approve PJ!
