This hat started with playing around in two-color crochet brioche. If you modify the stitches to standard double crochets, the fabric has the same vertical striping effect by working with only one color per round, but is less dense. Paired with a slip-stitch cuff and a braided-looking transition, this hat can be worked as a beanie or slouch. At the crown, decreases are placed to form 6 wedges which meet in the center.
Worked in 4ply sock yarn, this hat is long-lasting and can also be made using left-overs.
