It’s August and I feel like buying school supplies. I’m not sure why this is such a gratifying task. There’s something about freshly sharpened No.2 pencils, and the linen paper we used for presentations before the digital age. Perhaps it is because I grew up in a family of teachers, and gearing up for the beginning of school was a comprehensive endeavor. This collection, ‘Pencil & Paper’, was inspired by the nostalgia of preparing for a new school year.
Pink Graphite
This design is a large right triangle worked sideways, featuring an easy eyelet section and a solid border that is picked up along the lower edge. Instructions are charted as well as fully written, and the pattern is suitable for any yarn weight from fingering to aran. Be sure to adjust your yarn requirements when making substitutions.
