Picnic is a big triangle-shaped shawl worked from top to down. Summer fibers like linen or cotton and 5 ply yarns will work best to show the rustical design.
Finished size: wingspan 76"/194 cm, depth 39"/98 cm. Size is easily adjustable.
Pattern both written and charted.
Materials needed:
• 3 skeins of Sport weight yarn, about 300 yards (280 meters) per 100 grams. You will need approx. 830 yards (760 meters) for the shawl and 90 yards (80 meters) for tassels.
• Hook – 3.5 mm (E), 4 mm (G)
• Tapestry needle and scissors
• Stitch marker • Blocking pins
• 2 cardboards to make tassels, about 3" (8 cm) and 4"(10 cm) height.
