In a couple of hours or less you can crochet this cute two color petite basket. The red and green is perfect for Christmas or create your own color palette for any occasion, holiday, décor, or season. Fill with something fun - small toys or candy - and you have a great gift for Christmas, Hanukah, Birthdays, Mothers’ Day, Showers, and so many other occasions.
I used Red Heart Super Saver in Cherry Red and Paddy Green for one basket shown and in Lavender and Aran for the other. You'll need about 30 yards of color A, the main color, and about 5 yards of contrast color B. It's a great stash buster for any worsted weight yarn, but avoid very soft yarn (too droopy) unless you plan to starch the finished basket.
This is a simple but fun pattern to work up. Worked in the round. Suitable for a beginner.
