The idea hit me last week.
I liked the idea of making a personalized bookmark with the bookmark owner's name on it. That would be a special kind of gift.
And it is readable from both sides!
The technique is double knitting.
For this bookmark you have to knit each row twice using the knit1, slip 1 method.
This pattern is a toolkit including the whole alphabet charts and a small design for the top and bottom.
You can leave it out for long names or add it several times for short names.
A small photo tutorial on the two-color cast-on and an introduction to the basics of the double technique are also included.
It's quick and easy to knit and only requires some leftovers of 4-ply yarn (e.g. sock yarn).
I needed less than 15 g of each color.
