The finished bear ends up approximately 11cm tall (including beanie with pom pom) using similar yarn and hook size. Thinner yarn and a smaller hook size will produce a smaller toy and vice versa.
Gauge is not important - just make sure the stitches are tight enough so that the stuffing doesn’t show through.
