Parkers Ridge Hat

On a recent holiday my husband and I decided to walk up Parkers Ridge along the Icefield Parkway in Banff National Park, Canada. It was a beautiful clear spring day but I had forgotten that wind off the glaciers can be super cold. A perfect scenario for an earache and I had no hat. Hence, Parkers Ridge Hat was created. A compact, light weight hat for those unexpected moments! Knitting the hat is an adventure all on its own, as my test knitters discovered when using a self striping yarn, the end result may contain a very fun surprise. My first hat, a flower appeared on the top!
