Palace Steps is designed in a simple stitch on large needles, using a method that carries the contrasting yarn: no yarn-twisting or ends to weave in. No special color work skills are needed since only one strand is knitted across each row. The contrasting yarn is knitted horizontally and vertically for a classic fret design resembling stair steps.
