Design:

The dress has a popcorn pattern and a twisted rib stitch border. The front and back are knitted separately on straight needles and sewn together. The neckband is added by picking up stitches. Stitches are picked up for the button band at the back. You then have the option of either short sleeves which are knitted separately and sewn onto the dress or picking up stitches for the armhole edge band.

Yarn:

The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply)
