Design

The cardigans have a motif of a cute penguin wearing a pompom Christmas hat on each side. The front, back and sleeves are knitted separately and sewn together. The ribbed buttonhole bands are added by picking up stitches and you may prefer to use a 3.25mm circular needle to help pick up and knit the stitches for the V-Neck Cardigan.

Yarn

The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).

The picture shows the cardigans knitted for size 6-12 months using Sirdar Snuggly shades Pastel Blue (0321), White (0251), Black (0312) and Red (Flamenco 0242). Olympus DK yarn used for Yellow (853).
