2. Skill Level: Intermediate
3. Yarn: DK/8ply/Cat. 3 weight yarn, ~11g/0.4oz per coaster. Low-pill or non-pill, easy wash fibre (such as cotton, cotton blends, bamboo blends, and certain acrylics).
4. Hook: Use yarn label instructions as a guide for selecting hook size. Swatch to determine the optimal hook size for your tension.
5. Coaster Size: ~13-15cm/5-6in in diameter.
6. Gauge: Specific gauge not required.
7. Stitch Terminology: US. Refer to Abbreviations and Special Stitch Instructions.
8. Pattern Synopsis: Constructed in the round, initially as a continuous spiral. The spiral is then closed. One of the border options is constructed next (Petals or Starburst).
