Pattern Description

This easy to knit outerwear vest with pockets is a favorite for the whole family. Zippered front clusure. Knit in heavy worsted, chunky, or superbulky weight yarn. Adult sizes 38 to 53 inches at bust/chest. 24" long.

Yarn Requirements

Pattern may be knit in either heavy worsted weight, chunky weight, or superbulky yarn.

Materials for all weights

• Circular needles are recommended for the larger size needle.
• 1 24” separating zipper 
• 4 stitch holders
• 1 extra knitting needle size

Materials - heavy worsted 

• 695 (750, 800, 850, 900, 955) yards heavy worsted weight yarn
• Knitting needles sizes 7 & 9 (US)
• 1 extra knitting needle size 9 or 10
• Gauge: 18 sts., 24 rows = 4” on larger needles in stockinette st.

Materials - chunky

• 535 (580, 620, 655, 700, 740) yards chunky weight yarn 
• Knitting needles sizes 9 & 10 1/2  (US) 
• 1 extra knitting needle size 10 1/2 or 11
• Gauge: 14 sts., 20 rows = 4” on larger needles in stockinette st. 

Materials - superbulky

• 410 (440, 475, 505, 535, 570) yards superbulky weight yarn 
• Knitting needles sizes 11 & 13 (US) 
• 1 extra knitting needle size 13
• Gauge: 10 sts.,14 rows = 4”  on larger needles in stockinette st.
