No Bother Shawlette

“No Bother!” is often a response you will hear in Northern Ireland when someone is asked to do something that is simple or easy. When my sister asked if I could knit her a little triangle shawl, just enough to keep her neck warm, of course my response was “No Bother”!!

This shawlette is is worked from side to side, it is more of a recipe for you to play with and add your own twists to. It starts with a few stitches and increases until your desired halfway measurement, and then is decreased back to the starting stitch count. “No Bother”!!

This version is knit in stocking stitch with a small I-cord edge to help prevent curling. If you don’t like purling, just knit every row. You can follow the measurements given or, if you want to make the most of the yarn you have, weigh it before you start, take a note of the weight, work Part A with the first half of the yarn and Part B with the second half.
