About the Design: A classic pattern, re-sampled in doubled Peace Fleece yarn. Peace Fleece is now a merino wool blend, which means it felts more easily than the doubled Bartlettyarns 2-ply, originally used, and makes a cozier fabric. Work them in any Peace Fleece heather or tweed, or mix 2 colors together for a marled effect.
Note: As PF isn't currently available, I have suggested Drops Alaska or Nepal. I have knit many socks in these 2 yarns, and love how they knit up and feel on the feet! DO select a NON-superwash wool yarn - superwash won't full!
The pattern is still available in 7 sizes, for all family members. And, of course, attach slipper bottoms if they are to be worn on slippery flooring.
Gauge: 12 sts & 16 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in St st using size 11 ndls and 2 strands yarn held together, or size to give gauge. Peace Fleece fulls to about 13 sts and 19 rnds to 4”. To save time take time to check gauge.
