The Neahkanie Mountain shawl uses simple garter-stitch mosaic to create lots of texture to depict the fir trees and hiking trails down the mountain onto the beach. Easy texture and lace stitches further represent the rugged terrain. Mosaic (slip-stitch) colorwork uses only one color per row, making it an easy colorwork technique.
