This is a pattern for a pair of mittens worked from the bottom up and in the round, using the stranded colourwork technique.
On page 5 there is a basic instruction for how to work a lining for your mittens, if you desire. As seen in the yarn amounts, you will need an additional 55g ball, if you choose to line your mittens.
In addition, if you would prefer to work a provisional cast-on, rather than a long-tail, to join the folded hem, do that! You will need a crochet hook and waste yarn for this.
