MK#19 Scarf

I wanted to make a long cosy scarf in football team colours but not quite in the conventional way of simple stripes or just plain garter stitch. But I normally never make anything involving lots of rib because constantly switching the yarn around to do purl annoys me immensely. So I found a purl-less rib technique and experimented with changing the colour every row and was astonished at the result. I also think it might be lovely in three subtly different colours instead of three bright contrasting colours, maybe three shades of cream, or maybe cream, coffee and chocolate…?

The sample used 240 metres for the red and white, and about 280 metres of the blue, but it measured a huge 19.5 cm / 7½ inches, by 234 cm / 256 inches

Yarn needed: 250m (or a bit more or less) in each of the three colours will give a good length.
