As soon as I finished the original, child’s version of this sweater it was clear that Mama wanted, or perhaps I should say needed, her own version. Not only does Brooklyn Tweed’s bulky weight yarn ‘Quarry’ make for a gratifyingly speedy project, but this unique yarn is like no other bulky weight, remaining light and not excessively warm.
Miss Bracken is a simple, top-down raglan sweater with the added detail of switching between contrasting needle sizes every row to give the reverse stockinette fabric two row furrows.
