My third grade teacher made one of these for every student in her class, and had them hanging on the wall around the classroom. We each got a chance to go choose one and retrieve it from the wall. I was so excited to get the white stocking with the red center. It has hung on my Christmas tree every year since 1985. I recreated the pattern and modified it just a touch by adding a scalloped edge at the cuff.
